Governor Roles and Committees
Governors decided that having Lead Governor roles rather than committees would make the governing board more efficient and effective, with governors using their own knowledge and expertise within their lead role.
The Lead Governor roles are as follows:
- Whole school improvement
- Assessment, progress and curriculum
- Safeguarding including pupil welfare, health and safety and attendance
- Community cohesion
- Personal development, behaviour, wellbeing and CPD
- EYFS and Post 16
- Residential
- Disadvantaged groups including pupil premium and sports premium
The First and Second Committees will be from a pool of governors.
Associate governors do not have full governing body meeting voting rights but do have voting rights on committees and panels.
